OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Legislature has reconvened on what is expected to be the final day of the session.

The Legislature cleared its last major hurdle of the session with House passage of a $6.8 billion general appropriations bill on Thursday.

The budget bill was in doubt when the House failed to pass the measure by four votes. But a subsequent vote Thursday saw the bill pass, 52-42.

A handful of legislators switched their votes after concerns they had about the budget were addressed.

The state Constitution mandates that the budget be passed by 5 p.m. Friday. Had the budget not passed, legislators would have needed a special session on state spending.
