AMARILLO, TEXAS -- In observance of Memorial Day, which is Monday, several ceremonies will be taking place to remember those who have laid down their life for our freedom.
Llano Cemetery will have a ceremony starting at 10:00 a.m. It's located near I-27 and 34th Street.
An avenue of flags will mark the way to the veteran section, where there will be a wreath laying, flyover and other special events to commemorate the day.
The Texas Panhandle War Memorial will have it's ceremony starting at 11:00 a.m. It's located near I-27 and the Randall Annex building off Georgia Street.
Amarillo Mayor Paul Harpole will be the speaker. A flyover will also take place at this ceremony, as well as, the singing of the National Anthem.
Then at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, their ceremony will take place at 2:45 p.m. It's located near I-27 and McCormick Road.
The ceremony will also have several speakers, music and a moment of silence to remember our brave men and women.
The public is invited to attend all ceremonies.
