AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two men were injured in a brutal house fight Monday evening, police said.
Police said brass knuckles, clubs and sticks may have been used in the fight.
At about 8:40 p.m., police said they were called to the 1300 block of Columbine on a reported aggravated assault. Upon arrival, two injured men were found being treated outside the home, police said.
A 36-year-old male appeared to be unconscious, suffering from a possible head injury, police said. A 17-year-old male was also found, according to police, with multiple facial lacerations.
Police said initial information given to them was that brass knuckles were used in a fight that they men were involved in. Another witness told police clubs and sticks were used.
Both men were treated at the scene by paramedics. The unconscious man was transported to the hospital. Police said his injuries were first described as life-threatening but now have learned the injuries may not be life-threatening.
According to police, the men had been at a party in the 1400 block of Gadenia when a verbal dispute or argument became a fight between the two men and an unknown number of people.
Police said the two men suffered their injuries from the fight, which was believed to have happened inside the home. Officers and investigators went to the home where the fight reportedly happened. Several people were still there but some may have left before they arrived, police said.
