Update 3:45p
Two men were detained by police after barricading themselves in a nightclub for hours following a shooting.

At about 4:00 Friday morning, police said a 25-year-old man arrived at a local hospital seeing treatment on a gunshot wound to his left hand. The man, according to police, said he had been at a bar located in the 900 block of Amarillo Boulevard East.

Police said the man was inside the bar after closing with other people. At about 3:00 a.m., police said one of the people inside the bar became disorderly. After a bar employee told the man to leave, he refused to do so, according to police.

That's when the victim attempted to calm the disorderly man down, police said.

A bar employee obtained a handgun and fired two shots, police said. The victim was shot in the hand by one of the shots leading to a non life-threatening injury.

During the investigation police said they saw a vehicle that they believed belonged to the bar employee outside the bar. Investigators said it had parked over blood spots on concrete located behind the bar

SWAT team assistance was requested at about 10:00 a.m., police said.

Shortly before investigators were about to search the building they received information that the man was not in the building. Investigators also said they would need additional information before an arrest for the assault could be made.

A bomb disposal robot was used along with a police canine. The canine located a man hiding under the DJ booth. Another man was found by SWAT officers in the ceiling of the building.

Both men were detained by police and the incident remains under investigation.
