OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Authorities say severe thunderstorms left minor tree damage as they moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle.

The National Weather Service estimated a 70-mph wind gust broke a tree about 25 miles northwest of Beaver Thursday night. Wind gusts exceeding 60 mph were common, and hail up to 1.75 inches in diameter was recorded. No injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for 20 counties in western Oklahoma that is set to expire early Friday. An earlier watch that included the Panhandle expired late Thursday.

Forecasters say hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter and wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible.
