OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The race for eastern Oklahoma's U.S. House seat is drawing the most attention in today's primary election. Six Republicans and three Democrats are running to represent the sprawling 2nd Congressional District in eastern Oklahoma, where Democratic U.S. Rep. Dan Boren is stepping down after four terms. Elsewhere, incumbents John Sullivan, Frank Lucas and Tom Cole all face primary challengers from fellow Republicans. There is no primary in the 5th District that includes Oklahoma City. Polls close tonight at 7 p.m.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A former official of the Federal Railroad Administration says human error is likely the cause of a head-on train collision in the Oklahoma Panhandle that killed two engineers and a conductor. The state medical examiner said today it had received the remains of the three men killed in Sunday's accident. The National Transportation Safety Board has said it appears signals were working properly at the time of the wreck, and that one of two trains passing through the flat landscape should have pulled onto a side track.

ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) - The University of Oklahoma expects to receive more than $140 million in private donations and gifts by the end of the fiscal year. That's according to President David Boren. He told the OU Board of Regents meeting in Ardmore today that projections are for $141.2 million - including gifts to OU's scholarship program and funding for a residential hall housing project for students and athletes at OU.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A tow truck driver from Del City has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for child neglect in the deaths of his three young children in a recreational vehicle fire. Christopher Dunham was sentenced today. He was found guilty last month on three counts of child neglect as well as various drug-related offenses. Four-year-old Christopher Dunham Jr., 3-year-old Crystal Dunham and 22-month-old Kailey Dunham died in the Jan. 4, 2011, fire in the broken-down RV where the family lived behind a relative's house. His wife, Stephanie Dunham, pleaded no contest and will be sentenced next month.
