An Amarillo man died Wednesday evening when the motorcycle he was riding struck the right side of a SUV.

At 5:25 pm, Leta Rolen, 61, of Amarillo made a counterclockwise U-turn from the shoulder of South Washington Street into the north lane of North Washington Street, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Gary McMillian.

Kyle Kelly, 46, was northbound on South Washington Street, north of West Trammel Avenue when Rolen made the turn, hitting the SUV on the right side.

McMillian said Kelley died on impact. The wreck is under investigation.

Investigators have not determined fault in the wreck and no arrests have been made.

Another motorcyclist driving alongside Kelley avoided the collision. No other injuries were reported.
