AMARILLO, TEXAS -- ***UPDATE*** Farhan Sheikey has been found at a home within the neighborhood. Officers searched house to house and located the boy at a home of the 900 block of Heather. Police have confirmed that he is unharmed and safe. The boy is now with his family.

The Amarillo Police Department needs help in locating a missing 9 year old boy. The boy was last seen by family members at 1:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Evergreen, officials said.
He is identified as nine-year-old Farhan Sheikey. Officials are describing the boy as a black male, 4’3”, 80 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and unknown color shorts, and was barefoot when last seen.
Officers are continuing to search the area, and are conducting a house by house search. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Farhan please contact the Amarillo Police Department immediately.
