HOUSTON (AP) - A travel group says retail gasoline prices have jumped 6 cents this week across Texas.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump has risen to $3.29 per gallon. The nationwide average price for gasoline also went up 6 cents this week, to reach $3.44 per gallon.
The association says the most expensive gasoline in Texas is in Fort Worth, at an average $3.39 per gallon. Corpus Christi has the cheapest gasoline this week, at $3.16 per gallon.
AAA Texas says current average prices statewide are still 30 cents lower than a year ago. The also association says retail gasoline prices have gone up the past few weeks due to better than expected global economic news.
