STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - A suspended Oklahoma State basketball player accused of sexually assaulting two women at a house party has been convicted on three of the five counts he faced. Jurors late yesterday convicted Darrell (duh-RELL) Williams on two counts of rape by instrumentation and one count of sexual assault. He was acquitted on two other counts of rape by instrumentation.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Firefighters have contained two grass fires in Oklahoma City and Bartlesville. Authorities say there were no reports of injuries or structural damage in any of the blazes yesterday.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Congress has passed a bill boosting pilots' rights in Federal Aviation Administration disciplinary proceedings. The measure was written by an Oklahoma senator who was ordered to take remedial flying lessons by the agency after he landed his plane on a closed runway. The bill now goes to the president for his signature.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma County District Attorney's office has charged two men with first-degree murder in the death of a woman whose dismembered body was found in a field behind a grocery store last year. A charging document alleges Luis Ruiz and Jimmy Massey acted jointly to kill Carina Saunders.
