SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) - McDonald's, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast-food companies are being sued in Chile for violating the country's new law against including toys with children's meals.

The law took effect last month and its author, Sen. Guido Gerardi, filed suit Wednesday accusing the companies of knowingly endangering the health of children by marketing kids' meals with toys. Gerardi says he's also suing the makers of cereal, ice cream and other products that include toys with a purchase.

He says nearly a quarter of Chile's 6-year-olds are obese.

Fast-Food toys and obesity are linked?
Are children getting fat because they are eating food that includes a toy? Should fast-food meals, cereals, and other food products remove the toy?

We're sorry, voting for this poll has ended.
