Canadian man killed in rollover accident, one other injured

A Canadian man was killed early Saturday morning in a one vehicle rollover accident south of junction US60 and US83.

Edward Grant Meek, 39, of Canadian was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Judge Karen Goodman at 2:41 am.

Ronald Wayne Robinson of Canadian was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger, northbound on US 60 when the vehicle left the road into a ditch.

The vehicle then vaulted into a bridge abutment and rolled on it's top. The vehicle then slid across lanes into the southbound lane of US 60.

Meek was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Robinson was trapped in the vehicle.

Robinson received internal injuries, as well as trauma to his back and head.

Robinson was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, where his condition is unknown at this time.
