Happy State Bank is putting on 'Shred Week', asking locals to bring any unwanted papers with personal information to any of their branches to be shredded.

The program is until Friday, and Happy State says items that should be shredded are papers that include your social security numbers, address, date of birth, virtual passwords, and other personal information that could put you at risk.

"When you throw something in the trash can, it has two or three stops before it is actually disposed of," said Cari Roach, Happy State Bank Marketing Director. "So anything with your name that goes in the trash can is considered at risk."

If you would like to participate in the program simply bring the unwanted papers to any Happy State Bank location, and drop the papers into marked bins around the lobby.
