OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office FOP is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person believed to have started a wildfire near Luther.

Sheriff John Whetsel said in a news release Wednesday that the best hope of solving the case is for someone to provide information leading to an arrest. The sheriff's office has also established a tip line

Witnesses have told investigators of seeing someone throwing a lighted object from a dark-colored pickup truck before the fire started Friday. One caller to 911 reported that the "woods exploded" after something was thrown from the truck.

The fire burned about 4 square miles and destroyed dozens of homes Friday and Saturday.
