AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An inmate who was found unresponsive at the Potter County Detention Center this morning has died.
Officials said about an hour after breakfast, a 30-year-old inmate was found slumped over in his cell.
Medical personnel were called and corrections officers performed CPR and used an AED.
The inmate, who won't be identified until next of kin are notified, was pronounced dead.
Amarillo Police Department Special Crimes is investigating the death.
