AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 27-year-old man was killed late Wednesday night after police said his motorcycle crashed into a tree near Westgate Mall.
According to police, 27-year-old Randy Baca was traveling eastbound in the 100 block of Westgate Parkway when he lost control of his 2008 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle. Police said he struck a tree that was located in the center median.
Baca died at the scene and a toxicology screen was ordered.
Police said speed is a factor in this crash and Baca was not wearing a helmet.
