Man killed after truck loses control in Wheeler County

ALLISON, TEXAS -- A 30-year-old truck driver was killed early Sunday morning after police said the truck he was driving lost control and overturned.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2007 Mack CHU truck was traveling eastbound on FM 1060 near the west edge of Allison when it lost control on a curve. The truck was driven by 30-year-old Jesse Joe Garcia of Memphis at about 4:40 a.m.

DPS said the truck towing a 2007 Dragon tank trailer. Both units, according to DPS, overturned one and a half times causing Garcia to be partially ejected.

A seat belt was not worn, DPS said.
