AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A vacant home became fully engulfed in flames early Thursday morning, fire officials said.
The Amarillo Fire Department said it responded to the fire, located in the 900 block of Northwest 10th at about 5:26 a.m.
Because the home was already fully engulfed upon arrival, firefighters said they did not enter the house because of the potential of the roof collapsing.
The roof eventually collapsed, officials said.
An investigation into the fire was launched and the cause was listed as determined.
No injuries were reported and officials said the cost of damage was estimated at $10,000. The property value of the home, according to the the fire department, was $10,000.
