AMARILLO, TEXAS -- For those in the Amarillo area unable to find employment, Workforce Solutions may be able to help.
Workforce Solutions works in conjunction with the Texas Workforce commission to offer a variety of jobs to those in need. Employers include Sitel, Ben E. Keith, Bell Helicopter and many others.
On October ninth, Workforce Solutions and other companies are sponsoring the Amarillo Job Fair, a one stop shop for those looking for employment.
"That's really what makes job fairs and on-site job recruiting effective," Trent Morris, director of Workforce Solutions said. "You can connect with that job seeker right then and there in person and that's really important these days."
Along with the job fair, what sets Workforce Solutions apart is the opportunity to offer applicants on-site interviews.
"We love to have employers come and interview and hire on-site," Morris said. "When a company like Sitel comes and they can connect with a job seeker right here on site that really makes it an easy connection."
The Amarillo Job Fair is October ninth at 10:00 AM, located at the Amarillo Civic Center.
