How can you tell it's election season?

Check your Facebook and Twitter.

Social media is literally blowing up during all the election events and your friend count may be decreasing.

Facebook and Twitter users are dropping their friends like flies as the election nears. Some say they simply don't agree with their political beliefs and some say they don't like the way they are posting their opinions.

A Pew Research Center survey found that one in five social media users has cut someone off for a political post that went too far.
