CARSON COUNTY, TEXAS -- A 27-year-old woman was killed and a 3-year-old girl was severely injured in a rollover in Carson County on Tuesday afternoon, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

On Tuesday afternoon just before 4:00, a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 27-year-old Meagan Joyce Green, was traveling North on County Road O when it left the roadway onto the east side of the road, DPS said.

The vehicle, according to DPS, over corrected and returned to the roadway before over correcting again and going into the ditch on the east side of the road.

DPS said the vehicle overturned and ejected Green, along with Madison Green, a 3-year-old passenger.

According to DPS, neither the 3-year-old passenger or Green were wearing seat belts.

Green, a homemaker, was pronounced dead at Amarillo's Northwest Texas Hospital.

Madison Green was last listed in critical condition with brain trauma.
