Police nab 8 on drug charges at Amarillo motel

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police arrested eight people Thursday night at an Amarillo motel on multiple drug charges.

The six warrants were obtained by the Narcotics Unit of APD and were executed at the Deluxe Motel in the 600 block of Amarillo Boulevard at about 8 Thursday evening.

The Narcotics Unit along with the SWAT Team, COPPS Unit, Uniformed Tac Officers and members of the Texas DPS Narcotics Unit all executed the warrants.

Inside Room 109, police said unknown pills and drug paraphernalia were found. Letty Denise Wilson, 63, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

In rooms 118 and 105, police said no residents were present. In room 118, police found three rocks of crack cocaine and no contraband was found in 105.

Powder cocaine, 2.6 grams of marijuana and 17.1 grams of crack cocaine along with drug paraphernalia was found inside room 112.

Joshua Vernard Adkins, 21, was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Potter County warrant probation violation of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Ashley Breann Drone, 22, was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and four outstanding Municipal Warrants.

Inside room 108, police said crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia was found.

Ricky Rayvonne Coffer, 42, was arrested for six outstanding municipal warrants and a Potter County Warrant for Possession of Marijuana. Frederick Doyle Keel, 41, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Douglas Darrell Swain, 44 was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police said 1.3 grams of marijuana were found inside room 106. Roaryreious Perkins, 20, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jesse Jones, 47, was found in the parking lot. He was arrested for Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and two municipal warrants.

Police said the total value of drugs recovered was about $2,000.
