AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The former River Road baseball coach, accused of having sex with two female students, pleaded guilty in court last week.
John David Bryan, 33, pleaded guilty to all six counts of Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.
His sentencing included 10 years deferred adjudication, a $250 fine, 180 days confinement in the county jail as a condition of the probation (jail time runs concurrent), no contact with the victims or their families, no contact with unrelated children under 17 unless he is exercising visitation with his child or is visiting with related children whose parents are present, required to complete sex offender counseling and all other sex offender requirements imposed by the probation department, perform community service hours and pay multiple other fees.
District Attorney Randall Sims said the sentences were approved by the two victims and their families.
In April, Bryan was released from his duties as a teacher and baseball coach at River Road. He was previously placed on paid administrative leave by the district.
According to the Potter County Sheriff's Office, it is alleged that Bryan had an inappropriate relationship with two female students.
It is reported that Bryan, according to court documents, had sexual intercourse four times with one female student. The court documents also allege he engaged in sexual intercourse and had oral sex with another.
