AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - Prosecutors say the last of eight people convicted of operating a Texas Panhandle drug ring has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison.

A federal judge in Amarillo on Monday sentenced 27-year-old Datra Chevalier Johnson, who was convicted of drug distribution-related counts.

Investigators say the cases involved numerous undercover purchases of cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, plus cash. Several people were ordered to forfeit real estate, vehicles and guns.

The eight ring members were from Amarillo, Dumas (DOO'-mus) and Borger. Their penalties range from a year in prison to nearly 11 years behind bars.
