Grand Jury decides not to indict Pampa officers in shooting incident

PAMPA, TEXAS -- Texas Rangers have completed their investigation of the shooting that involved two Pampa police officers, a news release said.

The case was presented today to a Gray County Grand Jury by Texas Rangers, both officers were no-billed by the Grand Jury.

Officers Jimmy Skinner and Joey Roberts were placed on administrative leave at the time of the incident, which is standard policy at the Pampa Police Department. Both Skinner and Roberts went back to work in an administrative capacity, the release said.

The shooting occurred Nov. 29 on the 2100 block of Hobart St., in Pampa. Two police officers responded to a call at 4:23 p.m. David Scott of Pampa was killed after the officers fired at Scott who pointed a handgun at officers. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.
