Amarillo police are searching for the armed suspect who robbed an Amarillo Bank this morning.

At approximately 10 a.m. Amarillo Police responded to an armed bank robbery call at the Bank of America in the 3600 block of South Washington Street.

According to bank employees, a man entered the bank and had some type of handgun in the front pocket of his jacket and demanded money.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'10", 30 to 40 years of age, with no front teeth and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with blue jeans and work boots. He fled the scene in a blue, 4-door Buick with Oklahoma plates going Northbound on 1-27.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
