AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Some lucky shoppers will be getting their jewelry free because The National Weather Service said two inches of snow dumped on our area Christmas Day.

Tresa McFarlin of McFarlin’s Jewelry said this is the first insured promotion they’ve done that ends up being fulfilled.

If you bought jewelry at McFarlin’s between November 1st and December 18th you can get a full refund if it snowed at least an inch on Christmas. McFarlin’s is waiting for official word from the insurance company before making the official announcement.

"We're very excited to be able to give one lucky person a $10,000 check if the insurance company does in fact state that we received one inch of snow. The smallest amount would be $20. We had a lot of engaged couples so we're very excited about the possibility of them receiving their money back, " McFarlin said.

McFarlin's plans to repeat the promotion next year.

To get the earliest response as to whether or not they will be giving the refunds like McFarlin's Jewelry on Facebook.
