Amarillo traffic stop nets $60K worth of heroin

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- At approximately 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, Amarillo Police officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of 44th Avenue and South Austin Street.

During the stop officers searched the vehicle and discovered 84.2 grams of black tar heroin in the vehicle worth an estimated $60,000.

According to a news release from APD two were arrested for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possesion of drug paraphernalia.

40-year-old Heather Diane Hodges and 38-year-old Ryan Todd Chandler were booked into the Randall County Jail on the aforementioned charges.
