Dalhart Elementary School is currently taking precautionary action due to a possible threat.
Parents can pick up their children at the school, however at this time the school is not under lockdown.
According to Dalhart Superintendent David Foote, someone in town had received calls and texts that were threatening. Due to the fact that there are relatives connected with the person responsible for the threats in the elementary school, extra safety measures are in place at this time.
