Steven Edward Boyd, 28, was charged for the Feb. 4, 2013 armed robbery of Texas Liquors. Boyd was charged with aggravated robbery while he was in custody at the Randall County Jail on another robbery charge in connection with the robbery of First Bank Southwest.

Feb 4, 2013 Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to Texas Liquors in the 1900 block of south east 34th Avenue for an armed robbery. A female employee was working in the store at the time of the robbery.

The employee told police that a man wearing a black ski mask, black jacket, black pants and dark colored gloves had entered the store and demanded the cash from the register. She took the money from the register and put it on the counter. The robbery suspect then took the money and ran from the store.

On Thursday Feb. 28, 2013 the Randall County District Attorney's Office accepted the charges against Boyd for this robbery.
