AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE: This shooting has been released by Amarillo Crime Stoppers as the Crime of the Week. Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help with information regarding this crime.
Sunday morning, just before 2 a.m. Amarillo Police officers responded to Midnight Rodeo in the 4400 block of south Georgia on a reported shooting.
When officers arrived they found that an employee had been standing by the front door as patrons were leaving when he heard a pop and felt stinging in his back. Other patrons reported hearing the same noise and noticed that a window in the front door had what appeared to be bullet hole in it.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to a news release from Amarillo Police Department, no one reported seeing a vehicle at the time of the shooting. At this time it is undetermined where the shot came from.
