The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Target are voluntarily recalling the company's two-piece pajama sets for children.

The CPSC says the cotton or cotton/fleece sets fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, because they do not meet the tight-fitting sizing requirement, posing a burn hazard.

More than 500,000 sets sold in Target stores and online from August 2012 through November 2012 are in the recall involving Target Circo and Xhilaration children's pajama sets. They were sold in infant and toddler sizes 12M, 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T and in girls and boys sizes XS, S, M, L, and XL in a variety of colors and designs. The item number is located on a tag on the shirt's side seam and on the pants at the waist. To see the item numbers go to: http://www.target.com/HelpContent?help=/sites/html/TargetOnline/help/product_safety_and_recalls/children_and_baby_products/children_and_baby_products.html

The CPSC says consumers should immediately take the recalled pajamas away from children and return them to any Target for a full refund.
