Three candidates for Texas governor will be squaring off in a debate Tuesday night. The debate starts at seven, and you can watch it on KACV here in Amarillo.
Democrat Bill White, Libertarian Kathie Glass and Green Party candidate Deb Shafto will all be in attendance. Governor Perry has made the decision not to attend the event.
So what can you expect from each candidate?
The experts are saying that White will try to appeal to Independent voters and motivate the Democrat base to get to the polls.
Kathie Glass is said to pose more of a threat to Perry than to White. While she isn't expected to win the election, she will probably appeal to some conservatives.
If Green Party candidate Deb Shafto establishes herself as the most liberal candidate, she could take a few votes from White.
The debate is sponsored by the Austin American-Statesman; The Dallas Morning News; the Fort Worth Star-Telegram; The Houston Chronicle; The San Antonio Express-News; KLRU-TV, Austin PBS; and KUT-FM, Public Radio for Central Texas.
