NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Norman school district is re-evaluating its emergency communication policy after a tornado struck this month as students were leaving for the day. No one was hurt in the April 13th storm, but administrators say they're now adding GPS-equipped radios to school buses so they can pinpoint where all the buses are at any time.
ADA, Okla. (AP) - Remains found earlier this month near Ada belongs to a 41-year-old man who disappeared last summer. Investigators say they're not sure how Eren Nance died. He was reported missing in late July.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A Bethany man was sentenced to more than 21 years in prison after he was convicted of defrauding dozens of investors out of more than $4.5 million. Brian McKye was convicted of securities fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. He'll also have to pay restitution.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Chesapeake Energy is ending a program that allowed CEO Aubrey McClendon to take personal stakes in its wells as part of his compensation package. The Oklahoma City company is also reviewing financing arrangements between McClendon and any outside groups that may have done business with Chesapeake. Company shares fell last week after media reports showed that McClendon borrowed as much as $1.1 billion against his 2.5 percent interest in company wells.
