AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A truck carrying milk ended up on its side after losing control near downtown Friday afternoon, police said.

The truck was headed into downtown from Interstate 40 at around 2:30 p.m.

Police said the truck had one passenger but he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. He had to be extricated out the top of the truck and had head injuries, police said.

The driver of the truck, according to police, lost control just under the underpass of I-40 before ending up on the side of the road.
