AMARILLO, TEXAS -- People all over the world are finding special ways to celebrate the last repeating date for almost a century. Karla and Jeremiah Cunningham are just some of the lucky parents bringing new life into the world today.

"This is the best way to finish our family," said Karla. The mother of now four talks about her three boys and how excited they are to be big brothers to their new 12-12-12 baby sister.

Janye Cunningham was born at exactly 12:12 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2012. She is one of seven babies delivered so far today at the Northwest Texas Hospital.

While child birth was not the only event of the day, some couples here in the Panhandle embraced the date as well by saying their vows. Today was the last chance for couples to have an easy-to-remember wedding date.

Mateo and Lisa Cano were one of two couples married at the Sante Fe building in Downtown Amarillo today by Judge Debbie Horn.

"It's pretty awesome," said Mateo as he helds onto his new bride. "Just the fact we're getting married to the person that I love. Not so much the date but that we're getting married."

The next repeating date won't take place until Jan. 1, 2101.
