LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - A Lawton inmate was sentenced to another 35 years in prison after he was convicted of killing his cellmate. Joseph Palone pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter. He's already serving a 15-year sentence for attempted robbery and weapons convictions out of Tulsa County.
MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) - A Texas man faces up to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to passing counterfeit money at a Walmart store in Seminole. Charles Sims tried to use doctored $5 bills that were changed to look like $100 bills.

QUAPAW, Okla. (AP) - A northeastern Oklahoma manufacturing plant is laying of nearly a quarter of its workforce. Officials with Umicore Optical Materials USA say 34 of the 137 workers at the facility in Quapaw are losing their jobs.
