The Next Level with Eric Spellmann
One of the questions I get asked quite a bit revolves around music: "What else besides iTunes can I use to organize my music?" Well, believe it or not, quite a few programs exist.
My favorite is SongBird. It even looks like iTunes. With it, you can categorize all of your music and play your songs in any order. A new feature allows you to dynamically create playlists based on the type of music you want to listen to. In other words, if you say you want slow, rhythmic beats, the software will create a playlist with JUST those songs. Pretty cool.
Did I mention it's free? That's right, it comes from the open source world, where people develop software for the love of the art. Songbird is constantly changing and being upgraded, so expect some exciting new features in the near future. Find it at www.getsongbird.com.
You know, telling someone over the phone how to do something on the computer can be frustrating. I wish I could SHOW them. Well, with my site of the week, ScreenToaster, you can. This site allows you to record your screen and then send it to someone else. Best of all, it's free. Check it out at www.Screentoaster.com.
