Parishioners shown walk-though of their new building
AMARILLO -- Many of you probably attended church this weekend, but for members of Saint Mary's that routine hasn't been the same since February of last year.
Their church building was destroyed by a fire caused by a lamp that was left on.
But members have overcome that loss and are now looking forward to the future of the church.
Over 200 parishioners attended a progress report on the status of the new church building today.
They were shown a virtual tour, examples of pews and crosses, and given a walk-through of the new facility.
The church is having a cornerstone laying ceremony on December 31, and officials say construction is coming along nicely.
