Local BBQ restaurant busted for drugs

Three people are in custody after Amarillo police find money and drugs at  Alexander's BBQ on 2801 SE 27th street. 

Police say they obtained a search warrant for the business after receiving information that restaurant employees were selling crack cocaine.  Members of the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) team executed the warrant on Thursday afternoon, finding and seizing 1 oz. of crack cocaine and $5,000 in cash. 

Three adults, Dekendrick Alexander, 31; Taushia Alexander, 33; and John Lee Carter, 27 were arrested at the scene for possession of a controlled substance. All three were booked into the Potter County jail.
