Mel's has always been a local favorite
WHEELER -- If you live anywhere near Wheeler... you are probably familiar with Mel's Diner.
Mel's has been serving up handmade home-cooking for years and now they say they feel all that hard work has paid off.
The magazine "Texas Monthly" traveled the state with their taste buds... sampling food from over 350 small-town diners.
Mel's is in their top five favorites.
At about 6 o'clock on Thursday the magazine will presented Mel's and the diner's biggest fans with a certificate.
The day's special was all you can eat catfish!
