AMARILLO, TX -- The High Plains Food Bank will wrap up their annual food drive on Saturday, but they are still in need of donations.

The goal of this year's drive is 40,000 pounds of food, and so far they have received about half of that.

Some of the high demand items in need are rice, pinto bean items, canned soup and chilis, and canned vegetables, but any donation will be accepted.

You can drop off donations at the food drive on Saturday in the parking lot of the United grocery store located at Bell and 45th.

The drive runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but barrels will be set up at every United location in Amarillo and Canyon until the end of the year.
