NORMAN, OK (AP) -- A Noble man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the beating death of his 6-month-old daughter.

A Cleveland County jury deliberated about five hours Thursday before finding 26-year-old Jonathan Trask guilty of killing Mckenzie Trask.

The jury then recommended Trask be sentenced to life in prison.

A medical examiner testified that the girl died of blunt force trauma that fractured her skull.

Trask said the infant fell off a bed.

The girl's mother - 24-year-old Heather Trask - is also charged with first-degree murder and is to go on trial next month.
