WASHINGTON (AP) -- President George W. Bush and his wife have been taking part in some holiday charity work.
They delivered about 150 coats for the needy yesterday to a distribution center in Washington.
The coats were donated by White House staff, and were collected last week.
The One Warm Coat Holiday Service Project is a national drive to collect warm outerwear for the less fortunate.
Bush said the project is a "great example of how a single citizen and eventually a group of citizens can make a difference."
The president and his wife entered a small room at a nonprofit group's headquarters, each armed with a couple of coats. Aides carried the rest, and added them to the stacks of coats on tables lining the room.
