MCALESTER, OK (AP) -- A Texas rodeo professional has surrendered to Oklahoma authorities on charges of stealing cattle from a local ranch.
Michael Eugene Matt of Blanco, Texas, turned himself in at the Pittsburg County Jail Wednesday morning. He appeared before a judge and later was released on $5,000 bail.
The 36-year-old bull fighter was charged last month with conspiracy and three counts of felony embezzlement of cattle. He was charged along with 22-year-old Traven Wayne Clifft of rural McAlester, who had managed a ranch for a California couple.
Wynn's attorney Ronnie May did not immediately return a telephone message left Friday at his McAlester office.
