Fort Bend Sheriff seeks 6-week-old boy
NEEDVILLE, TEXAS (AP) -- The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has issued an Amber Alert for a 6-week-old boy whose mother took him Monday.
Authorities said 30-year-old Sonia Diane Quintanilla is a known drug user.
The Sheriff's Office says Quintanilla left Needville to take the baby -- Elijah Ray Farris -- to the doctor.
She was driving in a blue 1989 4-door Chevrolet Cavalier with license plate Z84-CFV.
Family members say the woman, who's previously disappeared for short periods of time, didn't have food, diapers or clothing with her.
Needville is 37 miles southwest of Houston.
