In partnership with HandsOn, Starbucks is giving away a free cup of coffee in exchange for a pledge to volunteer.

AMARILLO -- If you wake with a cup of coffee every morning, Sunday is an opportunity to get one for free, but there is a catch.

Starbucks is giving away one tall cup of coffee to anyone who walks into the coffee shop and pledges 5 hours to help the local community.

Starbucks has teamed up with the HandsOn network in an effort to raise one million service hours.

If you can't get out in Amarillo, HandsOn recommends creating self-organizing kits that you can make from their website.

If you plan on picking up that free cup, The Christmas in Action of Amarillo group needs volunteers to repair homes for the low-income elderly, disabled, and other disadvantaged individuals.

But don't worry, if you're not handy with a hammer and nails, they are also looking for people interested in serving as volunteers on the Board of Directors.
