KELLER, TEXAS (AP) --

A 66-year-old suburban Fort Worth man accused of sexually assaulting children attracted by his backyard miniature train has been declared mentally incompetent to stand trial.

State District Judge Scott Wisch of Fort Worth last week ordered Clinton Don Simpson of Keller committed to Vernon State Hospital for up to 120 days.

He's under house arrest until a vacancy opens at the hospital.

He'll face trial on 14 child molestation charges once he's deemed mentally competent.

Among those are 10 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Simpson operated Mr. Don's Whistlestop in his backyard until October 2007.

That's when a 3-year-old girl told police Simpson had touched her inappropriately.
