Keep Amarillo Beautiful phone book recycling

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- There are lots of ways to keep Amarillo beautiful, but this is one you may not think of very often: recycling old phone books.

Until April 18, the public is invited to drop off used phone books at any number of locations around town.

24-hour drop-off at all Amarillo locations below:

*  City Recycling Drop Off Center, 27th and Hayes (across from Llano Cemetary)

*  Fire Station #4, 208 E. Hastings

*  Wal-Mart Supercenters

*  Canyon City Hall, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Place outdated phone books in the container marked "telephone books only" do not mix materials.

Newspapers, catalogs, plastic bags or magazines must not be mixed with phone books.
