DPS troopers seize marijuana during traffic stop

OLDHAM COUNTY, TEXAS -- Troopers working patrol in Oldham County near Wildorado on I-40 stopped a Mercury passenger car for speeding on Monday.

The driver Milizza Sasinacki Katz 44, of Phoenix, Arizona was traveling from Phoenix to Atlanta, Georgia.

Katz was traveling East on I-40 when she was stopped.

During the stop, Troopers observed signs of criminal activity from Katz.

Troopers requested consent to search the vehicle and were granted consent.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 190 lbs of marijuana concealed in duffle bags in the trunk of the vehicle.

The marijuana was valued at $61,750.

Katz was placed under arrest and booked into the Oldham County Jail for possession of marijuana.
